4. How to Obtain a DSC for GST?

  1. Choose a Certifying Authority (CA) – Get DSC from authorized providers like e-Mudhra, Sify, or NSDL.

  2. Select DSC Type – Class 3 DSC is required for GST registration.

  3. Apply Online – Submit KYC documents such as PAN, Aadhaar, and business details.

  4. Download & Install DSC – Once issued, install it on your system and link it to the GST portal.


5. How to Register DSC on the GST Portal?

Follow these steps to register your DSC for GST filings:

  1. Log in to the GST Portal.

  2. Click on ‘Register/Update DSC’ under the User Services tab.

  3. Download and install the DSC Utility.

  4. Plug in your USB Token and select your DSC.

  5. Enter your PIN and click ‘Sign’ to complete the registration.
